FUN DAY AT AUCKLAND ZOO FOR SPECIAL GUESTS

Some special guests got to go closer than the animals than most people are ever allowed.

To help celebrate blind week, the royal New Zealand foundation of the blind treated 8 blind children to a fun day at the Auckland  zoo where they got to touch the animals.

Most visitors have to stand at a distance.

Mrs Ritzema said it was a very good experience for the child to feel the animals and hear them so they could get a "mental vision" in their heads.
